Compunicate DNS-3 is used to scramble the digital television signal. DNS-3 supports the simultcrypted scrambling, embedded control word generator, fixed or variable control word scrambling, and scrambling of the program stream and the elementary stream.

SCS(Simulcrypt Synchronizer Control System):
.Set up the TCP connection with ECMG and assign one channel for each connection
.Create the required stream in the channel and assign an ECM Stream ID for it
.Get the CW(control word) from the CWG
.Send the CW to the relevant ECMG
.Get ECM information from ECMG
.Synchronize ECM’s CP cycle according to the channel’s parameter
.Send ECM to the multiplexer according to the channel’s parameter
.Send CW to the scrambler according to the CP cycle period
